Now Charles counts 19places = 7 - 1st, 4 - 2nd, 8 - 3rd out of 42 races which is close to 50% placing success. That's surely great.

The winnings in money for Charles are also very high for this 1 and a half months just passed. In fact he laready won 555,000Kronas in this short time which ialready more than 1/4 what he won in 2008 during a whole year. This looks promising for the Maltese National.

Keep on excelling Charles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck

24th APRIL 2009 - That's A Day for our Maltese Professional driver and trainer Charles Degiorgio.

2 ON 2, no more no less - Charles Degiorgio succeeded to make 2 victories out of his 2 horses who yesterday started at Kalmar.

Charles Degiorgio won with Swedish owned Etoo Bob. This 4year old had his first race under Charles Degiorgio's training on the 30th March 2009 (yes 3 weeks ago). Before yesterday's race Etoo Bob, ran 8 times with only a 3rd place and a record of 1'18"7. Yesterday under the guidance of Charles for the second time, the horse registered his first career victory and his personal best down to 1'17"5 on the 2140m distance. One has to remark that Charles did not get an easy horse to work with as like his races prove one 3rd place in 8races is not good, but moreover one has to Highlight the fact that the 8 races ran uptill date, Etoo Bob was driven by renouned drivers such as Joakim Lovgren, Thomas Uhrberg, Steffan Persson, Johnny Tackter & Bjorn Goop. That's surely making gold out of a hot seat on a horse who had been driven by some of the best drivers around in Sweden. Very Very well done to Charles. One can say the this horses owners - Stall Taste, really got a Taste of a pair of excellent Maltese hands, for a Taste of Victory

Second win of the day came around this time on a MAltese owned horse. Merci Arriba owned by Etienne Carabott started running under Charles's guidance as off this year. With a protafolio of 27 races for 2 victories and a personal best at '14"9. Well Charles drove him on two occasions and guess what 2 Races - 2 Wins, and guess another little bit, come on......... on these 2 races the horse clocked 1'13"5 and 1'14"1, setting his new record at 1.5 seconds less than he had ever done before. Here again well done to Charles and the Maltese Owners.

Good Luck Charles. Keep on Trucking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charles does it again with the horse owned by Mr. Etienne Carabott - MERCI ARRIBA This time around MERCI ARRIBA clocked a personal Best on the 2140m with the 1'14"5 obtained yesterday.

It is now 3 Wins and 1 2nd place in 4 races of this horses since he is under the guidance of Charles Degiorgio. his win yielded 100,000SEK, a good prize money both for the owners and driver. In fact this is the 3rd best prize won by horses trained by Charles Degiorgio this year after that SUPERIOR AS won 110,000 SEK on two occasions (once as a winner and a second time making a very good 2nd place in a Bronzedivision Final)

Well Done to Charles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A full 4 days await Charles here off as he will be having as much as 7 horses under training who will be running, one of whom is Furey who will be driven by MAltese driver Brian Zammit who is the owner of this horse

Well done Charles. This time it is Elitloppet Weakend. He have two horses running on Saturday and also one on the special Sunday not in Elitloppet but you will never know one day he will. You have to be special for boath trainer and owner having a horse running in that weekend.Good luck to all.
Look for the horses which are running those days on Solvalla and try to guess which horses are going to be winning.Little too hard I guess.

Equida presenters talking to Mr. Goetz who will be driving Kocabar in the Harpers Hanovers Lopp, named Superior As as one of the toughest contestants for the victory of this race. That shows respect to Charles' work. It was nice hearing it.

After winning 2 races on 2 on the 24th July with Rolls Royce and Xebec Hornline, Charles Degiorgio did another great show of talent today. In a Race in Mantorp today 26th July he succeeded what I believe to be his first 1-2. In fact Charles had 2 horses he train in the same race, Maltese owned Kain Poifond and Swedish owned horse Toroid in the same race. Charles Degiorgio drove to victory Kain Poifond whilst his second horse Toirod driven by Ralf Karlstedt did a very good 2nd place.

Another great show by Degiorgio.

With these latest result Charles surpassed his record of wins in a year as now he already stands at 27 compared to the 23 of 2008 as a driver, whilst he equalled his last years total of 28 victories in 2008. One has to consider that we are only at the end of the 7th month of the year, and with 5 months to go, we hope that Charles Degiorgio continues going on with this pace. We hope he succeeds to near the cap of 50 wins as a trainer.

Keep on Trucking Chal.

Since I have the fortune to understand:) what peoole are saying about Charles in Sweden I would just like to pass it on. He has during his short time in Sweden manage to get a very good reputation and is often complimented for the way he is driving and how he (almost:) always presents his horses in good shape. And considering that he is doing a "Svanstedt", that is training and driving his horses himself instead of using catch-drivers, the achievment is even better.

So we can only take the hat off for Charles and hope he will continue developing his already good skills. And seeing his training list it looks like he is, going from about 20-25 horses last year and now having over 40 in training. Says it all!
